In October 2025, the 2025 International Mining Congress of China was successfully held at the Tianjin Mei Jiang Convention Centre. The Congress, with the theme "Integration and sharing", brought together mining authorities, industry associations, leading firms and industry chain support agencies from many countries and regions around the world to focus on the core issues of the green transformation of mining, smart mining innovation, cross-border resource synergy and the stabilization of the industrial chain supply chain, and to create an important international platform for cooperation on global mining policy interface, project negotiation, resource interface and technology sharing.The meeting brought together invited delegations to take advantage of opportunities for industry exchanges and cooperation, to organize a joint field mission to Papua New Guinea to conduct a field trip and project in-depth visits to the mines, to build a solid base of cooperation in both directions, and to do everything in their power to promote high-quality practical cooperation in cross-border mining across the country.
As a professional enterprise in the field of deep-tilled mining development in the South Pacific Ocean, the new mining industry has long focused on high-quality overseas mineral resources compliance exploration, green development and long-lived operational development, deep-tilled the local mining market in Papua New Guinea for many years, familiar with local mining policy regulations, the development of a business environment and the practical processes of project operations, and has built up a long-standing experience of land-based management and high-quality mineral project resource reserves. This International Mining Congress, with the participation of PNG in the main theme forum of the Congress, the cross-border mining cooperation interface and the negotiation of priority projects, is an excellent review of current developments in the global mining market, new directions for mineral investment policies and new trends in the development of green and intelligent mining industries. It has taken the initiative to exchange new models of cooperation in overseas mineral development, new paths, joint development of multi-party communications projects, technological synergies and cross-border trade in mineral products, and has reached a number of preliminary consensus-building agreements to build a solid foundation for cooperation in follow-up development.
Papua New Guinea has a high mineral resource endowment, a high level of strategic mineral reserves, such as gold, copper, nickel and cobalt, and a high potential for exploitation, and is an important area of cooperation in our strategic mineral resources overseas. In order to map the actual situation of the projects in hand, to refine plans for further development and construction, to pre-position the projects, PNG will conduct a parallel field visit to PNG mining. The team conducted a series of field work in the field, including geological mapping, mineral stock review, research on mining support facilities, assessment of eco-environmental development conditions, and conducted a comprehensive picture of the distribution of resources, mining suitability conditions and long-term development value in the mining areas. At the same time, the mission conducted several rounds of discussions with local mining energy authorities, territorial trade associations and indigenous cooperative enterprises to elaborate on key issues such as the mining rights clearance process, environmental mining control standards, local job security, tax and fee policies and territorial social responsibility requirements, clarify the core elements of project compliance and development operations, effectively avoid the operational risks of overseas mining investments and ensure that follow-up projects are regulated in an orderly manner.
